• IP = Internet Protocol address.
• Every server has Internet Protocol (IP) address just like a postal address.
• IP address help computers find each other easily.
• To remove the complexity to remember the IP address a unique name is assigned per IP address called Domain name.
• Whenever an email, pictures or web page travels across the internet computers break the information into several smaller pieces called packets.
• When all the pieces of information reach its destination the packets are re-assembled in its original order.
• Anywhere two or more parts of internet intersect there is a piece of equipment required called Router.
